My boyfriend and I have been together for 8 years. We are interested in going to couples counseling in order to work on any issues we have before moving forward. We both have health insurance but with two separate insurance companies. Do therapists typically bill both insurances (meaning we need to find someone that accepts both)? Is the therapy billed differently because its more than one person being serviced, meaning that couples therapy has to be specifically covered by our insurance companies? Any information would be great, thanks!

I am 17. My parents just split up about a week ago. My mom was dropping me off at work (eck no, I can’t drive yet) and she told me that she was going to go into AA and take counseling. She said in a couple months she thought it would be a good idea for me to take counseling too, to work out any issues I have from the abuse I’ve dealt with the past 6 years (verbal, not physical). I think I am fine. lol I’ve gotten tough to it over the years. You know? lol But do you think I should try it anyway and see what comes up or what? It sounds like it would be interesting to hear what they had to say, but I’m not one to share personal information very often. Opinions? Thanks. =)
(I suppose it’s fair to mention that alcoholism, drugs, and infidelity are involved. -_- Not me though! I despise the stuff.)

What would the quickest route be to get a degree that would actually be useful for getting a job counseling and providing therapy for people? I am going to finish my B.A. in Psychology in less than 1 yr and I qualify for the master’s degree in Rehabilitative Counseling. Basically you study about the effects of being disabled (mentally , physically, etc) either by accident or birth and you help these people to be active in society. You help them to rehabilitate themselves into society..being productive etc.

The pay is around 57,000dlls a yr which is NOT much at all.. but what do you think?
